29 Jun 2020after installing the drive (970 evo pci express) I did the migration and it said all data transferred. shut down and "install drive". WTF it is installed! It doesn't show up in "My Computer" or in bios to boot off of. It shows in Samsung Magician but it says "No volumes found". Any idea what's wrong? Any help appreciated.

29 Jun 2020Although the video was very well detailed and easy to follow, I have a question. I’ve tried doing this and get an error stating that the process stopped for an unknown reason. I’ve gone and turned on airplane mode, disabled ( at least I think I did) all running programs. And still the same results. I am currently sitting in safe mode on Win 10 and running it again. It’s been going now 19 minutes and I still show 0% transferred. Not sure if I want to attempt just letting it run all night and pray it works by morning time.

29 Jun 2020Hello and thank you for your video. I noticed that the target disk is smaller in capacity. I thought that, when cloning, the target disk had to be at least of equal size, even if the source disk's used space was less than the target disk total space.

29 Jun 2020Thanks for the guide. One question though,if i want to keep the initial source(in your case the hdd) and use it as a back up drive?Do i need to reformat it myself or delete the contents after the cloning process or are the files going to get deleted and will be free of space post cloning?BTW I have a 120 gb ssd boot drive and it's going to get cloned to 860 evo 500 gb.Thanks

29 Jun 2020This is the 3.1 he's using in the video. The current 4.0 has a bit of a design change. It functions the same and the guide still applies, but it just looks different.

29 Jun 2020Despite following your good thorough tutorial the Samsung Data Migrator couldn't get the job done after > 24 hours waiting and fiddling I turned to …

29 Jun 2020Hi, I'm getting a Samsung m.2 nvme ssd. Which adapter should I use? I tried looking on Amazon, but the comments say it wont work with Samsung Data Migration software. Does anyone know of an adapter that works?

29 Jun 2020Did you have to manually clear out the Western Digital drive after the cloning process to the SSD was complete? Or did the Samsung Data Migration program finish with all the stuff that was on the Western drive on the new SSD and leave you with an empty original drive (did SDM clear out the Western drive automatically)? I hope that question makes sense. If you have to do it manually, did you use any software, or did you just delete everything?
Also, would that SDM software work to clone an HDD (OS and all) to a new M.2 NVMe SSD?
And finally, do you have to reregister your Windows OS on the new SSD, or is it still all good in Microsoft's eyes? Thanks!

29 Jun 2020Thanks!! This helped a lot!! One question: I tried plugging back in the hard drive and when I turned on the computer it gave me an error saying something was not plugged, I unplugged it and the computer started normal with just the ssd. What should I do for the computer to be able to use both

29 Jun 2020Good Video. After the process is finished, can you still use the original drive as a backup or does the cloning make it unusable? I would like to save it and at least have a bootable back up.
