This is an overview of the awesome Samsung CRG9, a 49-inch gaming monitor that boasts 5120 x 1440 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR1000 and much much more. It’s SUPER widescreen and SUPER awesome too.
The Samsung CRG9 is a fantastic monitor, especially if you’re into ultra wide gaming. It gives you a great peripheral view of the world you’re playing in and provides rich colour and a great visual range thanks to HDR and other awesome specs.
This monitor is also great to use for working as you have plenty of space in Windows for all sorts of tabs. Is this the best super ultra wide monitor available? Watch to find out and let me know what you think in the comments.

✨A✨W✨S✨O✨M✨E✨✌🏻Monitor, Great Review, New Sub here. Cheers from #iSpike New King Of Live Streaming
Great video… What's that little computer clock you have on the desk?
How deep is your desk? Is it a 60cm or 80cm Desk? Looking at these monitors but my desk is 60cm deep and guessing it may be a bit close.
Oh yes great exercise for the neck there.
Who would win?

How are games running smooth with that low of a frame rate? It appeared to be around 30 FPS at times!
Guys could someone explain the difference between the Samgsung CRG9 and Samsung LC49RG90 both 49" screens
How did you get the lighting to interact like that?
nice cruisine gameplay
Bro I love it
wow it looks amazing. I am in the market for an ultrawide. Perhaps not as wide as this, but 34".
I have a setup that sports a 2070 Super and Ryzen 3900x Would I be alright ?
120hz HDMI, 240hz Display Port
Will a MacBook Pro 2019 be able to drive that monitor?
Useless
beautiful man,,,,awesome views. great job presenting the features.
Nice review – can I ask what size desk do you have?
What bugs me about these monitors is they aren't high enough. It feels like looking at a 4k tv that's been cut in half.
VESA support?
i got turned off at 120 HZ
LMAO he was playing Red Dead @30fps, you'll need 2×2080 RTX setup
curve monitor on a straight desk == space waste
looks like a 24 inch stretched to its limits. don't like it. for that I get a true 49 in with 16:9 ratio. this will never be the new standard
very good monitor! most games can run ultra wide without streching or zooming in, just sadly youtube doesn’t support ultra wide ;(
what is the last game he played?
In a few years where you will not be able to go for a walk to the mountains or to the beach because of environmental protection, this will be your only entertainment. Oh, yes: And maybe a pair of VR headset.
Can you tell me what is that digital clock you have on the left? Brand and model? I really like it! 🙂
question: it is not too close the monitor to your eyes?
This was a great review. I've only got a 5700XT RD but don't want to get the 1080p version of this monitor. Waiting to see what the new cards look like and I'll pull the trigger
I prefer "34" ultrawide monitors for gaming
How depp your voice….
Is he using phillps hue or what exactly for the background lighting]
Sorry should have said the 32 version
Now then Hands on heart would you recommend the new samsung Odeyssey G7 Monitor for the new Gen consoles ie ps5 and the Xbox as im old School many thanks JJ 😊
That is my pc and this is my dream setup..
I've noticed the last 4 months i've been having issues with gaming on this monitor, the GPU hits 80 degrees and revs up to 100% on the fans, it's weird because it didn't do that when i first bought the GPU which is a RTX 2080, playing GTA Online with 100 fps now is almost impossible without the GPU hittig 80 degrees.
I will buy one. Have to buy a killer Desktop. Been using a laptop for 2 years and I miss Desktop. But the desktop I’m going to buy is about $4000 area plus add the money for this monitor. Quite expensive lol. Might buy the monitor first then put it away while I look for the right desktop 🙂
The CHG90 Supports G-sync. I'd assume this would as well, try turning the monitor freesync on. Go to the nvidia settings turn vertical sync to "adaptive", and youll be able to enable gsync. You'd see a huge improvement(I sincerely do, owning the chg90)
Its a bit disappointing that developers seem to overlook us widescreenies all the time, most famously Bethesda, but the monitor is brilliant.
What game is that at 12:26?
14:26 what is that you have on your PC on the right? A cooler?Oh and what Mic do you use (Does not look like yeti) ?
Where did you get it for £900? I can only see it @ 4 figures….
If a husband trys to sneak it past his wife it must be good. Thank you.
waste of money monitor lol! 38 fps haha lol! 32 inch g7 odyssey for the win can't wait! and the fps!
If you plug in 2 HDMIs into the monitor from one source e.g. from 1 GPU, does Windows recognise it as 2 monitors or 1?
Heya pal just odered one! Replacing my two 27inch monitors for this beast!
1. is there a huge noticeable difference between 144 to 120?
2. What CPU / GPU do you have to run it?
Thanks!
What are your thoughts on combining the Dell XPS 17 (RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6 with Max-Q video card) with a Samsung CRG90 ultrawide monitor? Is there any benefit between the C49J890 vs C49HG90 and vs C49RG90 from the laptop perspective. Does the spec on the XPS17 prevent any benefit from going to the HG or RG? Curious to know your thoughts.
I'm undecided between this monitor and the LG 49wl95c-w
Web/App Development Graphics and Programming are the most important priorities
…but I wouldn't mind occasionally playing with DCS Flight Sim again when my work is done
Distortion of images I'm creating is my biggest fear for both of them.
Help!
its look purfect but what hapen toyour pixels left side there is tow line ??
free sync work with nvidia? you have 2080ti ?
Hi Everyone, my daughter loves to play Skyrim and particularly because she loves the soundtrack and the scenery/worlds etc. It's actually one of the most important factors for her to be honest, do you think this monitor would be one of the best to create that experience for her when gaming?
